On December 18th, Arcane Horizon came together at the Canad Inns Polo Park to celebrate a remarkable year, a milestone anniversary, and the people who make our community so special. Our Year-End and Holiday Gala brought together members, partners, staff, and friends for an evening filled with connection, laughter, and gratitude — even as a winter blizzard swirled outside.

We extend our sincere thanks to Trent Whidden, who served as Master of Ceremonies and kept the evening flowing with warmth and energy, and to Leilanie Sarmiento, whose leadership and organization brought the entire event together seamlessly. From planning to execution, her work made the evening a true success.

We were honoured to celebrate alongside our Board of Directors, valued partners, and especially Northway Pharmacy, who marked their 100th anniversary this year — a milestone well worth celebrating. Guests enjoyed great food, fantastic music from our in-house DJ, and a photo booth that quickly became a crowd favourite. With more than 40 door prizes awarded throughout the night, the excitement was felt from start to finish. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our volunteers who helped with check-in and prize coordination — your support made all the difference. We also proudly recognized 30 service award recipients, honouring the people who have helped shape Arcane Horizon over its 30-year history.

Most of all, we are grateful to everyone who braved the weather to join us. The evening was a true reflection of what Arcane Horizon stands for: community, inclusion, and shared purpose. A special thank-you to the Nobess family for their continued support and generosity. It was a night that celebrated not just a season, but three decades of impact — and the many more still to come.

Une soirée inoubliable : Gala de fin d’année et des Fêtes d’Arcane Horizon

Le 18 décembre dernier, Arcane Horizon s’est réuni au Canad Inns Polo Park pour célébrer une année remarquable, un anniversaire important et, surtout, les personnes qui rendent notre communauté si spéciale. Notre gala de fin d’année et des Fêtes a rassemblé membres, partenaires, personnel et amis pour une soirée remplie de chaleur, de reconnaissance et de célébration — malgré la tempête hivernale à l’extérieur.

Nous tenons à remercier chaleureusement Trent Whidden, maître de cérémonie de la soirée, ainsi que Leilanie Sarmiento, dont l’organisation et le dévouement ont permis le succès de l’événement. Leur contribution a grandement contribué à créer une soirée fluide et mémorable.

Nous avons eu l’honneur de célébrer avec notre conseil d’administration, nos partenaires et tout particulièrement Northway Pharmacy, qui soulignait son 100e anniversaire cette année. Les invités ont profité d’un excellent repas, d’une ambiance musicale animée grâce à notre DJ sur place et d’un photobooth très populaire tout au long de la soirée. Plus de 40 prix de présence ont été remis — un rappel que les gagnants peuvent toujours réclamer leur prix en écrivant à lsarmiento@arcanehorizon.org.

Un grand merci à nos bénévoles pour leur aide à l’accueil et à la distribution des prix. Nous avons également eu le privilège de remettre 30 distinctions de service, soulignant 30 années d’engagement et de contribution à Arcane Horizon.

Enfin, merci à toutes les personnes qui ont bravé la tempête pour être des nôtres. Cette soirée incarnait parfaitement l’esprit d’Arcane Horizon : inclusion, communauté et reconnaissance. Nous remercions tout particulièrement la famille Nobess pour son soutien continu. Ce fut une célébration mémorable — de notre histoire, de notre communauté et de l’avenir à venir.
