Arcane Horizon would like to thank the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba for their generous grant towards our Home Capital Project.  It's because of generous grants like this that we are able to better maintain the homes within our residential living program.  

Arcane Horizon sends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mary Lou Rourke, who recently passed away and was a pivotal member of many incarnations of the Arcane Horizon Board of Directors over the years. 

The Arcane Horizon Community, partnering with the Lennard Taylor Design Studio, will present their inaugural Art Gala fundraiser on Nov. 18 on the 5th floor at 290 McDermot Avenue. The evening will feature art by nine local established artists, alongside the work of six Arcane artists who are part of the Artbeat Artist Group, music by the Luminous String Quartet and hors d’oeuvres by Master Chef Canada All-Star Jeremy Senaris.

Ron Nobess’s passion and commitment resulted in dramatic changes for people living with disabilities in Manitoba and beyond.

Nobess may have served as a radar and communications technician with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces, worked as a math and science instructor at Red River College and as a power and operating engineer, but he will be remembered by many for being a tireless advocate and a catalyst for both the creation of an organization and a change in legislation to help people living with disabilities.

With heartfelt condolences to the entire Nobess family, we acknowledge the passing of Ron Nobess who was instrumental in the creation of Arcane Horizon Community and the Vulnerable Person Living with a Mental Disability Act of Manitoba.

One of the priority issues at Disability Matters Vote is “Fair Wages”. We believe that Manitobans with disabilities deserve well-trained, qualified and dedicated support staff.
