This September, Arcane Horizon is proud to celebrate the incredible Direct Support Professionals who bring our mission to life every single day. Their compassion, patience, skill and dedication help create greater choice, independence and opportunity for the people we support. During DSP Week, we want to say one thing as clearly as possible: thank you for everything you do.

As summer winds down, the Arcane Horizon Board of Directors is looking ahead to a busy fall filled with celebrations, community events and new opportunities. Board Chair Candace Salverda shares a special thank-you to our Direct Support Professionals, highlights the many events ahead, and invites everyone to support Arcane Horizon through Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo this September. Read this month’s message from the Board and mark your calendars for an exciting season ahead.

Arcane Horizon is proud to be a September Affiliate Charity Partner with Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo. This partnership will help support our work to expand wheelchair-accessible transportation capacity, creating more flexibility, independence and choice for the people we support. Read the full story on our website and learn how playing Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo this September can help move our community forward.

Grab your costume and join us October 23 at Four Crowns for one of our favourite nights of the year! DJ Colin will be spinning the tunes while we dance, play games, hand out costume prizes, and celebrate Halloween together.

This is an inter-agency event open to everyone, so bring your friends, bring your best costume, and come join the fun!

Grab the mic, warm up those vocal cords, and join us September 17 for an evening of karaoke, laughter, music, and community at The Saint Restaurant and Pub.

Whether you are ready to take the stage or would rather cheer from the audience, everyone is welcome to come enjoy the night!

This month’s Hearts and Hands Spotlight recognizes Prairie Grass Fire and Safety, a locally owned company whose expertise helps protect Arcane Horizon’s homes, offices, staff, and the people we support. Their commitment reaches well beyond fire-safety inspections through event sponsorship, community volunteering, and leadership on our Board of Directors.
